Direct Lobbying

Weingarten, Reid & McNally has developed extensive relationships over two decades in Albany, allowing you access to all major state policy makers and staff—in the Governor’s office and in both houses on both sides of the aisle. We provide complete lobbying, monitoring, and legislative representation during the regular legislative session, special sessions, at Senate and Assembly committee meetings and hearings, and at regulatory hearings. 

Grassroots Advocacy and Coalition Building

Weingarten, Reid & McNally works with you to target the groups and centers of influence that will enhance advocacy efforts. We have excellent contacts in local and statewide business, labor and the public interest sector, and utilize them to add strength to your voice so that your message is clear and your issue stands out.

Political Action

Weingarten, Reid & McNally has vast expertise with organizing and managing  Political Action Committees. At present, we manage two client PACs: the Chain Pharmacy Association of New York PAC and the Independent Petroleum Marketers of New York PAC. In addition, we provide extensive assistance to the PACs of other clients.

Public and Media Relations

Building public support for an issue and conveying messages through the media can be challenging for businesses and organizations. We make it easier with strategies to educate the public, including preparing press releases and media kits, providing information and quotes for the media, and assisting with newsletters and other collateral materials. Our relationships with reporters who cover the State Legislature help us bring media attention to client concerns. Public and media relations strategies have enhanced our advocacy efforts to achieve fair funding for hospitals, baseball stadium funding and the passage of a record number of anti-tobacco laws in the Legislature.
